Reports for the 2024/25 ALDS

Questions 34, 35, 36, and 38

The Analytics Workgroup has created reports that can be used to answer questions 34, 35, 36, and 38 of the ALDS  You can find these reports in the shared folders in alma analytics.  This is the same folder as last year.  Look for the reports that have 2025 in the title.

Remember to always copy and paste the reports into your own folder before making any changes

Questions 34b, 35b, and 36b

When questions are retrieving records from both your institution zone and your network zone, you will need to fill out the prompts in the reports with your institution code. For multi-college institutions, you'll need to provide the code specific to your college, and not the group. A list of codes is attached below.

Please keep in mind that premade reports may not work for you if you have made different cataloging decisions than the report creators. Stuck on a question?  You can ask us using the  Analytics Workgroup Support Form.

Question 39

Question 39 has changed since last year. It now asks us to include ebooks in our totals.

Use the two reports in the shared folder to retrieve the age of the items in your physical collection and those in the institution zone. If you have Netlibrary collections in the Network zone ,you can use the talbe in the attached spreadsheet to get age of collection numbers for those e-books.  Then use the calculator in the attached spreadsheet to add the books from those 2 (or three) aread together and get a total number that you will then use to fill out Question 39.

Confused?  Don't know what half those terms mean?  Fill out the support form!

Questions 40 and 41

As the survey suggests, Dashboards are a great way to answer questions 40 and 41.  You can find  the Circulation Dashboard and the Digital Lending Dashboard in the following folder.

For more information on dashboards, access the Wednesday webinar or take a look at the accompanying documentation

Please keep in mind that premade reports or dashboards  may not work for you if you have made different cataloging decisions than the report creators.
